AI Spirit Beast-Panbo

Panbo is an intelligent AI cultural and creative product launched by the Hubei Provincial Museum. It is inspired by the early Western Zhou Dynasty “Lei with Coiled Dragon and Beast-Mask Motifs,” excavated in 2013 from Tomb No. 111 at the Yejiashan Cemetery in Suizhou. The original bronze vessel features a raised round lid topped with a sculpted coiled dragon, while its body is decorated with beast-mask, curled-tail dragon, and kui-dragon motifs, giving it a solemn yet vivid appearance. The design team captured the unique character of the artifact and “brought it back to life” through soft plush materials and playful proportions, creating an AI spirit beast that combines historical depth with modern charm. Drawing on the museum’s knowledge resources, Panbo can introduce the stories behind cultural relics, as well as chat and interact with users, turning passive viewing into active exploration. The product measures approximately 230 × 150 × 260 mm and is made with polyester fabric and filling, with built-in electronic components and a USB-C charging port. It is both a plush souvenir carrying the cultural heritage of the museum collection and an intelligent cultural companion that can be hugged, listened to, and taken home.
